How we collect, use and protect your personal data (GDPR).
Data controller
FastCash Auto, reachable via the form on the Contact page or at rgpd@fastcashauto.be, is the data controller for personal data collected on this site.
Data collected
When you fill in a form (valuation or contact), we collect: your first name, last name, email address, phone number, postal code, and information about your vehicle (make, model, year, mileage, valuation). Your IP address and the submission timestamp are also recorded for security reasons.
Purposes
Your data is used exclusively to: (1) contact you regarding your request, (2) make you a buyback offer, (3) ensure site security (spam prevention).
Legal basis
The processing is based on your consent (checkbox in the form) and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
Retention period
Your data is kept for as long as necessary to process your request, then deleted no later than 24 months after the last contact, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise. Photos submitted via the upload form follow the same retention period.
Recipients
Your data is never passed on to third parties for commercial purposes. It is only accessible to FastCash Auto and to our technical subcontractor (lead server hosting provider).
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port and object to your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at rgpd@fastcashauto.be or via the form on the Contact page. We commit to responding to your request within one month of receipt (art. 12.3 GDPR). In the case of a complex request, this period may be extended by two months; you will be informed.
Complaint
If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD), rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).
